Underground Space Development: The Supporting Force Behind Cities "Growing Downward"

Release date:

Jul 15,2025

As urban land resources become increasingly scarce, the scale of underground projects—such as underground parking facilities, commercial complexes, and subway networks—is steadily expanding. In these types of projects, grouting pumps serve a dual purpose: first, they reinforce surrounding soil and rock formations through high-pressure grouting, preventing collapses caused by excavation; and second, they inject chemical grouts into construction joints to effectively block groundwater seepage.

Taking a transfer station on Beijing Metro Line 19 as an example, the construction team utilized a ZBQ-30/1.0 pneumatic grouting pump to achieve a single-day grouting volume exceeding 200 cubic meters, even under challenging geological conditions. This successfully stabilized the groundwater levels and ensured the safe excavation of the deep foundation pit. Meanwhile, at an underground commercial complex project in Shanghai, the grouting pump was integrated with an intelligent monitoring system that dynamically adjusted grouting parameters based on real-time geotechnical pressure data, keeping settlement within millimeter-level precision and safeguarding the structural integrity of nearby buildings.
